Yay for trying new things!

I have decided that since I tend to always have my phone with me and seldom have my camera with me that I need to combine the two and get a really cool, hmm, I don't know ... IPhone?!? Yes, I must.
I was bad at taking pictures this weekend of our adventures. We had a great weekend though!
On Saturday we went to Caledon State Park and walked the paths to the Potomac riverfront. It was an overcast day but still a very pretty sight. Izabella loved the sand!

On Sunday we hooked up the bicycle trailer and rode to lunch and then to the mall. Izabella loved it and fell asleep in the trailer on the way home. We really like how easy it is to pull behind our bikes. Izabella likes how she can see all around her and feel the breeze in her face. It converts from a trailer to a stroller in a snap. It is great!
I gave Izabella a banana to eat which she usually eats just fine if I start the peel for her. I guess she got curious and decided to try the peel this time. I was cleaning the kitchen as she sat quietly eating only to find this:

This does not appear to be a complete banana peel ... hmm ... I guess she is not ready for unsupervised banana eating just yet!

What a Fabulous & Craaazy long weekend!

Our extended weekend Zventure:

• Joshua's momma flew in on Thursday night and stayed through Tuesday afternoon. It was such a blessing to have her with us & I know she loved seeing Izabella (and us) and more Izabella!
• Friday we walked around Fredericksburg while Joshua worked.
• Saturday we went to Charlottesville for the Great Cloth Diaper Change! It was a gorgeous day to walk around town. I love Cville ♥ There were over 30 mommas and babies at the change and I won a One's & Two's yellow cloth diaper! I also got a wetbag FULL of goodies and some reusable bags as well. Oh, and coupon codes for cloth diapering websites - yowza! We had a great lunch and headed back home. Here is Izabella waiting to be changed to break the Guinness World Record. She loves bubbles & had a great time playing with so many little kids!

• Sunday we ventured out to DC to walk around the museums. It was a great day walking around with a cranky teething toddler in pouring rain. Not just a drizzle. It rained from 8am until 9pm, hard. By 3pm I was ready to come home. We made it home by 8:30pm. It was a long but fun day! The day was too tough & wet & tiring for me to get out my camera to take any pictures!
• Seriously, it was cold and wet.

• Monday we recovered from the weekend.
• Tuesday (today) we went to Richmond for the day and shopped. 

What a great weekend with family!

Park time & new hair do!

Hello 90 degree weather! I have tan lines already! Crazy!

Just wanted to post what Izabella and I did on this warm spring day!

Manic Monday: A weekend of firsts!

Soo ... what a fun weekend we had!


Izabella felt daring and tried a lot of firsts this weekend:

• Spaghetti with tomato sauce - why did my camera have to have no battery for this?!
• Eating foods by herself - she now can hold a banana and eat it so proudly!
• Riding in her brand new stroller/bicycle carrier! She even got her own helmet - size XS!!
• Walking in the Rappahannock River - the water was cold but she loved it!
• Going up to a complete stranger at the playground, taking their hand and "leading" them around! Yikes!

Momma & Dad also accomplished a few things:

• Stuck on our headboard, it looks great! (It's a vinyl adhesive one, best invention ever)
• Cleaned the place ... we actually have a kitchen table, who knew?
• Walked around downtown and made it to the river park, it was beautiful!
• Went back to a Baptist Church, went to Sunday school & service, and can still say we're impressed!

ANNDDD I got a fluff package in the mail, which always puts a smile on my face!
